The Co-existence of pool and snooker In the early 20th century the progression from billiards to snooker was quite straight forward as snooker became the more popular game.
The same cannot be said about pool. The introduction of pool tables in this country and the spreading of that version of the game around the rest of the world was due, in no small way, to the popularity of snooker.
Both pool and snooker have continued to exist alongside each other, neither showing dominance over the other. More than anything else the reason for this is that both games fulfil different functions. Snooker has always been the more popular game to watch whilst playing on a pool table is more accessible with so many located in pubs, social clubs and people’s homes.
Many customers of mine are now going for the pool dining tables (diners). Made from solid hardwood and manufactured to the same playing specifications as a pub style pool table. This gives the customer the best of both worlds when browsing pool tables for sale.
In these modern times more people are turning part of the house into a games room type environment. If space is at a minimum 6 or 7ft snooker diners are a good choice.
These snooker tables for sale are made by the same manufacturers of full size versions therefore they are not toys. The balls are two inches in diameter giving a good ball response.
